I got divorced this year. In a way, divorce ended up being a positive event for me. Maybe because it was an uncontested divorce. Maybe because we genuinely went through the process together, and it was quick and low-stress. Maybe because it was better to go our separate ways than keep trying to save a relationship that had run its course. Either way, I feel a sense of relief I haven't felt in ages.
