I am not saying that in-house hiring is bad by itself, but to me this path feels longer and more complicated. Especially now, when speed of going to market or testing products and strategies is a priority. I would like to hear arguments not only from HR, but also from founders and CTOs.
Maybe it is just a habit? No matter how innovative the industry a company operates in is, there are still established ways of doing things, including in-house hiring. Dedicated teams of specialists are a newer way of working, and it feels like many entrepreneurs prefer to rely on what they already know. In-house hiring stays a priority because it gives a feeling of full control over the team, and for many business owners this really matters. Like a strategic asset you want to keep inside the company. Also, it is easier to involve an internal team in long-term product development and business logic. But you have to pay for this with time, hiring complexity, and a high cost of mistakes. A dedicated team, like the ones provided by this development company, wins both in speed of start and often in project quality and execution of ideas. But to me, this is still a newer work approach that not everyone is used to yet.
