Hi all !

I have been thinking about methods to get some acceleration on embeded systems like orangepi2 and I have found libhybris.

I found some tutorials and manuals and it seems that only few steps are needed to do that.

1. Get sources of working android for our device
2. Patch bionic library
3. Rebuild android with patched bionic
4. Copy android libraries to linux
5. Get current version of libhybris from github and compile it on orange pi2
6. Test android libraries

Tell me if that is correct?

I want to try this but where can I find sources of android which works fine on orange pi2?
Shall kernel in this android be compiled from leeche SDK which we use?

Both Debian & Ubuntu have net install ISO (Debian has one for ARM processors branch). How would (or could) you go about getting them to start and install on the OPI?

All my Debian and Ubuntu images are based on debootstrap installation which produces practicaly the same rootfs as any net or other installation.
It is simple, fast, can be run on on any Ubuntu/Debian platform including OPI, so I dont see any necessity for anything else.

I'm trying to get Kodi 15.2 to run, don't really care which distro it's on.
There's stuff like cups & gutenburg for the printer etc, that I don't think are really needed. I found the armhf Deb builds for Rasbian at http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/k/kodi/ (and a few others) which is suppose to be the right to satisfy the dependancecy issues. I think what's going to stop it is the video excellerator stuff. I really don't know if I headed in the right direction or not. But my thought was If I entered like the net load I could cut most of the stuff I don't need out.

@loboris:
Orange Pi Plus. Ubuntu_wily_mini.img no mods.
Installed. Run fs-resize. Run nmcli -a d WiFi connect.
Copy latest update_kernel.sh. Run update_kernel.sh.
InstallOctoPrint.

Run install_to_emmc (with and without btrfs). Error. Boot0_OPI.fex not found.
Do I have to start over and install to emmc before I run update_kernel.sh? (that worked last time but I was trying to get a more complete system on SD before I put on emmc this time...)

Kodi can be installed (the version for Odroid C-1), but it makes no sense, it can't run without mali hardware acceleration.
Debootstrap install only the minimal Ubuntu/Debian system, you then use apt-get to install anything you want. Nothing that you don't need is installed.

Sorry, I forgot to include boot0 and u-boot files in the package used by kernel_update.sh.
I've updated it now, please run update_kernel.sh again, the necessary files will be installed.
Thanks for finding the bug.
