Right now I am in contact with a Chinese manufacturer that is telling me to buy a controller that would allow Android reading the touchscreen interface. 
I wonder if it is really necessary. Raspbian reads it, Mac OS X reads it, Windows reads it. So, I think it is just a matter of having a proper driver for it. 
I have seen prior messages in other blogs form 2013 that were mentioning to copy some *.ko files to allow reading the interface. The issue is that I do not really know the vendor of my touchscreen (the controller identifies itself as 266e, but this is not a known value), if this process is still valid, etc. 
I could try with tons of .ko files, but I need to know which ones to look for. Those forums have broken links now to the .ko files
