I’m putting together ideas for a yacht trip in Seychelles and got a bit overwhelmed by the number of islands. A couple of years ago I stayed mostly on one island and felt like I missed a lot by not moving around. This time I’d love to focus on places that really make sense to reach by water, whether for quiet beaches or short stops during the day. Which islands actually stood out for you when traveling by yacht?

What worked best for me was mixing well-known islands with smaller ones you’d probably skip if traveling by car or ferry. Mahé is a good starting point, but I really liked stopping near Praslin and La Digue for calmer bays and easier anchoring. Some of the smaller islands felt almost empty early in the morning, which was amazing. While planning routes, I checked https://charterclick.sc/  mostly to understand distances and timing between stops. It helped a lot with custom yacht itineraries, especially if you want flexibility instead of rushing through every place.

Travel experiences often come down to pacing more than locations. Short hops, time to swim, and unplanned stops tend to leave stronger memories than ticking off names on a map. Being able to slow down, stay longer where it feels right, and move on without pressure can completely change how a trip feels overall.
