Sys hangs: ebtables not usable, disabling ethernet bridge

F22. Well not sure "Sys hangs" - but ssh, ping, curl can't connect.  
A I did find that /var/log/messages was only getting the boot time messages then nothing - got that fixed.
But I keep getting locked out (?) with " ebtables not usable, disabling ethernet bridge..."  as the only clue.

Suggestions?
