OrangePi 2G-IOT poor wifi connection Ubuntu server

Hi,

I've succesfully installed Ubuntu Server on the OrangePi 2G-IOT with wifi up and running.
But I notice the wifi connection has a slow reposonse time and it seems it's not always online.
If pinging the system form a other system there are gaps with no reply.

I've already disable power management of the wlan0 interface but this does not solve the problem.

Is somebody experience the same problems? Any solution on this?

Strangely, there are no /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog log files available. It seems something is wrong with the installation image.

Hi,

I've same issue. If I remove wifi antenna, device is booted OK. If I've plug antenna I have kernel panic messages during device boot.
As I understand this issue starts on ifup wlan0.
I've tried unplug antenna boot device, and after login plug antenna. Wi-Fi is working like for antimatter post.

I've tried to disable powermanagement
1. /etc//NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf
wifi.powersave = 3 -> wifi.powersave = 2
2. /etc/network/interfaces
add -> wireless-power off

But no effect. May be that is for iwconfig is not installed.

This board is very sensitive for input DC.
When I use samsung original wire and usb 3.0 from laptop I have kernel panic when antenna plugged.
When I use this wire with power supply 2A it works normal.
