Orange PI PC - Wifi dongle problem

Edited by daniel.escobar at 2016-1-8 17:24

Hi everybody,

First of all, thanks in advance for the future support.

I have tried with many distros and I always get into the same error. I need to configure wifi dongle and i can't.

I can see the hardware in lsusb menu, and It's listed in the iwconfig as wifi interface.

The problem is when I triy to set as ethernet interface with ifconfig wlan1 up which gives me an error.

The error prompted: SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory

If I do dmsg | grep rt, " failed to request firmware ('rt2870.bin')" is showed.

I have downloaded the firmware, but I can't compile it because no headers exists for 3.4.39 kernel version.

My dongle is, or is recognized as, Ralink RT2870/3070.
Right now, I'm running the ubuntu_vivid_mate done by Jacer and the Jessian Debian

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Kind regards
