Lubuntu hardware acceleration
Hello Everyone,I'm quite new with this single board computers. I have a Orange Pi mini. So far lubuntu is the best suitable for me, but i noticed there is not any hardware acceleration(youtube videos are stutters and the desktop windows too). Is there any solution on this issue. I saw Banana Pi's running full HD videos and so on.
Thanks and Regards,
Bunyu
Thank you Steven!
I am trying to finish my small factor PC and I will be really happy when I will be able to change the resolution of the screen!
http://s22.postimg.org/5e8qfmjsx/image.jpg It really is a total disappointment. I chose the orange pi and I have the same problem as you. videos and resolution are awful and no audio. same problem Edited by shwan at 2015-6-10 06:51
I think for now, you are going to have to get down with the Banana bunch, and look at this: http://wiki.lemaker.org/BananaPro/Pi:Building_u-boot,_script.bin_and_linux-kernel
I'm just researching and investigating at the moment, but apparently have to cross compile the kernel or modules on another computer running debian/ubuntu.
If I get something working I will share it of course, but I'm not at that level of linux to be honest...I'm going to attempt it though, because there is very little in the way of help at the moment with this being so new, and so few of us embracing it...
It has the same Mali GPU that the Banana Pro uses, so it should really be a case of copying what they are doing... you can not copy more from banana.
it's over.
:D
banana has no boards with H3 Soc's
Xunlong must write his own code, however, it does not seem able to do so.
So I've bought a board that is good with Android, but I can't install Google Play or download from the market place, and it's hardware is not fully supported in any version of Linux that is available on this website...great.
Is anyone else able to create the code we need for the H3 SOC - to enable H3/Mali stuff? I'm d debugging Mali driver. Yes, no graphics hardware acceleration then it is useless. Let just hope someone can shake it. Edited by matteobp at 2015-7-8 23:32
