Orange Pi 2 - how to connect a fan
I just received my Orange Pi 2 and it is working beautifully with Android 4.4.2 but there's one thing I am having a problem with. I have a fan that came with my case and I'd like it to go above my heatsink, but I don't know what to plug it into. I tried following the schematics and plugging it into a 5V and ground but it runs at max power and I'm afraid it will break. Any suggestions?Just use 3.3v pin instead of 5. You could plop a potentiometer on the wires to let you adjust the speed of the fan, too. I did consider using the 3.3V connector but how would I go about connecting it to ground? The pins are too far apart for the connector to fit and I don't know how I can separate them from the connector. jps replied at 2016-2-24 15:15
Take out the black cord out of the connector and connect it directly. Then use a bit of Heat Shrin ...
